In my opinion it helps to develop the habit of clearing all registers before any operation of the calculator.
"Shift" key (Orange key) then "C all" Key
This will reveal the current period
settings of the calculator.

Changing the number of periods within a year to say monthly is achieved by entering;
Key; "1","2" (orange)"shift" key, "P yr"
key.

The settings can be checked by performing a further "Shift" then "C All"

It should now show "12 P_Yr"

Grace the value of $1,206.93393 say $1,206.93 is achieved by setting the periods in one year to 12. If left as one period per year the answer becomes $13,500.00

how to change to
