Scott, your comment saved me too. It is so obvious now. HP needs to help us in their troublshooting to point out the obvious to us since some of their keys are similar.

I have the original 10B and I cannot change the periods per yr. also. It has been a few years since I have used this. What can I do? They are in the 12 month periods, I need the one year. Thanks for your time.

You may want to try resetting your calculator:
Press the following keys all at the same time [ON] + [N] + [FV]
It will clear all memory and show the message "COPr HP 2000" "ALL CLEAr"

hi, i am unable to change the periods per yr setting for my hp10bII. the original 12 periods per yr setting does not change even though i followed the instructions. could there be a software error? if so, am i able to get a replacement asap? thanks.
