HP 11C

If you don´t need trig, an Hp 12c is still available. Hp is going to release an Hp 30B which will have trig available, but probably buried under a few menues and is smaller than the Hp 35. The Hp 33s is smaller than the Hp 35 and has a better functionality on the keyboard areangement (though an ugly design, but I have learned to like it).

If you have an Ipod or Iphone you could always add an rpn app to it for a few dollars.

Most PDA´s also have this option also.

Most Hp 11c´s sell for Half of $200 that you mentioned on auction sites.

I completely agree with this comment. I lost my HP11C in 1991 and have missed it terribly ever since. This is because newer calcs try to do too much. The HP11C got me through engineering school, and for workplace benchtop work there is still nothing better. I would pay $200 for a nice small equivalent; but I won´t pay that for an old 11C because I don´t want to carry around a museum piece.

Where can I get parts for a HP11C, (LCD display). This was the best calculator I´ve had for size and usefulness. Now they´re too big and try to cram in too many features (I have a HP35S now) - why try to compete with PCs? Please bring back something relatively simple and useful with RPN & basic scientific functions.

I love this calculator. Have had it since 1982.
It still works well, but I worry about the day it dies. Does anyone have the replacement? Like it?

On HP-15 and HP-12 it is a toggle that is switched by:
If On, turn HP OFF
Press and HOLD the . while turning HP ON
If radix was "." it is now "," and vice versa.
Presume HP-11 is the same as these others.

If you have the manual look under "Digit Separator display" in Index.

Hope this helps.
