Did you ever get an answer to your question. I also am getting a "c" in my display after replacing the batteries
In reply to Sharon:
I am getting a "c" on the lower right corner of the display window of my HP12C and a comma instead of a decimal point. Not sure how I did this. Any ideas about how to turn it back to a decimal point?

my HP12c is now displaying a comma after the first whole number. Cannot get it to return
to two decimal places
In reply to bobsun@mindspring.com:
After I placed new batteries in my HP12C, I find that the unit now displays a comma (,) instead of a decimal point (.) following the first whole number.

Someone knows, how to deactivate the function who rounds on .05?

When I enter 12.23, it displays 12.25.
When I enter 12.22, it displays 12.20...

Thanks

Press the orange button with the f, then press the number button that represents the number of decimal places you want.

Hi Gene, you may want to try the reset command. http://www.educalc.net/144618.page
In reply to Gene:

Like the other comments, I no longer had the manual and screwed up the decimal point. Most reliable calculator in the world - thanks HP!
