I bought this calculator used to make simple calculations. Though I knew its potential, it didn´t come with a manual. Thankyou for posting the simple TMV example that has helped me use more of this calculators potential, I am thankful for your efforts.

I need to calculate a 48 month amortization with payments 1-3 and 13-48 being equal. Payments 4-12 will have additional principal added in. Can the hp 12c handle this? how?

I want to calculate time value of money for a client who will invest 500.00 monthly for ten years and then hold the investment for 25 years with no more payments. Can I do this on the HP 12c Platinum?

Yes either manually multiply the loan by the interest rate or store the loan in PV and interest rate in i, and then [RCL][PV][CHS][FV],
put any number in n and solve for PMT. The idea is that for an interest only loan the loan amount is unchanged. Alternatively you can store i and PV and have zero in FV and a very large number in n ([EEX]9[n])- solving for PMT will usually give the same answer.
