In response to your question about difficulty in getting the on/off switch to operate for your HP calculator:
Use of a spray-type electronic cleaner may work. One brand is: "CRC QD Electronic Cleaner". This type cleaner comes in a spray can. You can spray a small amount onto the "on" key, and then operate the key multiple times. Calculator disassembly should not be required unless it is sealed, in which case removal of the back & then spraying the "on" key would be the method to use.

I have a 38G calculator which is a joy to use. The only snag is that it has become very difficult to turn on, calling for multiple presses and/or high pressure on the ON button.
I can´t find any one in Montreal to fix it. Anyone out there know whereI can get it fixed ?
