I sent for repair my financial calculator model HP12C Order No. CSS-3258 on July 10 2007 in Caracas, Venezuela. Received it back a month later without any repair performed.
I called the service center in Caracas and was told that the calculator did not have repair due to lack of spare parts and should be disposed.
I have been using HP´s since my college and postgradute studies. Can not believe a HP does not have spare parts!!!.

Go to Hpcalc.org and search for memory expansion. That will also offer a guide as to how to open an Hp48. If it is a keyboard problem, you might contact some repair places such as fixthatcalc.com before you ruin your calculator.
In reply to Ivan: Hi Ron:

I saw your post when browsing for batteries for my vintage HP41C. It is a flag setting, but I don´t remember which one because I can´t turn the thing on (Use the: shift "SF"). It is for European users where they switch the decimal with the 1000s place commas.
In reply to Marla : Hello,
I also have a "comma" problem, but on my 41C. The advice for Helene (holding the decimal down while off, then turning on) didn´t work. Is there something special for a 41C?

I have a HP10C calaulator since 1982 and recently found that the decimal point has become a comma on showing the digits e.g. 10,0000 for ten and 10.000 for ten thousand. Could anyone tell me how to eradicate this situation. Please e-mail at solidus@netvigator.com.
Thanks in advance.

I attempted to send an email concerning a problem I am having with my HP calculator and the message would not go through. I used the chia@mac-net.com
address. Is there anywhere I can contact for help with my problem? I had a similar type question about a year ago, but I have lost the phone no. (in the US) which I used. That call resolved all the trouble very quickly! Hope that I can get help this time.
