If you are very familiar with the 48 series then forget the 49. There are changes in the keyboard layout and some functions that I found too hard to adjust to. My 49 is gathering dust.
It does, however have a better display and the build quality is high. There ia also a hard transparent slide over cover which is kickass. All that good stuff and I still don´t like it.

i used to be hp calculator fanatic because of their
elegant design particulary in the 1970s eg the classic hp67 model. Nowadays hp calculator design sucks.hp should consider reusing old model design to house the latest calculator technology. it might help boost sales.
